1. What is VasReversal?
VasReversal’s New Beginnings is an international educational and informational reversal website designed to better inform prospective vasectomy reversal patients about the procedure itself and how to compare and choose physicians. It is not a sales or advertising company. However, in serving our members who are researching surgeons, it is in our members’ interest to have comparison materials available. This provides your practice with an opportunity to introduce yourself, your facility and your surgical plan to prospective patients.
2. How Do I Participate in the Physician’s Profile Program?
By clicking on the link to the left, you may fill out the Physician's Profile. This is a standardized set of forms to be filled out by each surgeon requesting participation. No other forms may be substituted as prospective patients will be better equipped to make side by side comparisons. There is a section available at the end of the profile for your personal comments and explanations. You will also be allowed to include a promotional DVD, which lets you introduce yourself, and your facility and staff, on a slightly more personal level. There is an annual fee for providing prospective patients with your profile. It will automatically renew yearly. The fee is the same whether your profile is mailed to 100 prospective patients or 1000 prospective patients.
3. How do Prospective Patients Get My Profile?
Each year, thousands of people visit our homepage and are searching for vasectomy reversal surgeon information. When they click on the “Physician Profile” page, they are automatically taken to a page titled Physician Profiles. In that page, each participating doctor will be listed. The patient is then provided the opportunity to order the entire profile packet, which includes all the Physician Profiles for all participating doctors and any promotional DVD’s. They will be shipped the packet of profiles, including yours, even if they came looking for information on another surgeon. This way, they can comfortably compare surgeons in their own home. Remember, while some are looking strictly at cost as their criteria, others are searching for doctors based on location, or anesthesia type, surgical technique, experience, etc. You may be a possibility that they didn’t even know about before ordering the packet!
4. How much does it cost to make my profile available?
Currently, if you join in the initial offering, a fee of $350 per year will allow your profile to be maintained and dispersed by VasReversal’s New Beginnings. Should you choose to also include a promotional DVD, an additional fee of $100 per year will apply. There is no fee for including business cards or brochures. If you choose, you may just be listed in the
physician director for an annual fee of $95, however only contact information will be available for prospective patients.
5. How long will my profile be maintained and dispersed by VasReversal’s New Beginnings?
Your profile will be made available to anyone seeking a profile packet for one year from the time we initially receive your profile, and your paid fee. Your renewal fee will automatically be billed to your credit card one year from the time you sign up.
6. What if I don’t currently have a promotional DVD but would like to add it during the contract year?
VasReversal’s New Beginnings would be glad to include a promotional DVD at any time. The fee will be pro-rated if not included at the time you initially sign up to be a part of the Physician Profile program. The pro-rated fee will be $10 per month based on the remaining months in the contract.
7. What if I need to make changes to my profile during the contract year?
VasReversal’s New Beginnings will be happy to keep your profile updated. If at any time you need to make changes to your Physician’s Profile, just send us a new form and we will substitute it for the previous one. There is no charge to update. In fact, our members benefit from keeping your information current so they may continue to make the best possible choice for their particular circumstances. The renewal fee will apply as usual at the time of contract expiration.
8. Why do I need to use VasReversal’s form?
While we know that you might like to explain more to each patient, or use your own form, VasReversal’s New Beginnings Physician Profile program is designed to get initial clear, concise information to each prospective patient, so they can begin to make comparisons and choices based on the criteria that is best for them. At that point, we encourage them to call your office to set up a consultation. Keeping the forms standard for all physicians in the program allows the patient to compare information side by side. Please be clear and concise in your answers and use only the form provided. If certain areas of questioning do not apply to your practice, please state that. It may be they are only looking for particular criteria, and where you don’t match up in one item, you may in another. There is also an area where you may make additional comments and we encourage you to do so. Also, if you are able to provide a promotional DVD, you will have a wonderful opportunity to more personally introduce yourself and your staff to prospective patients.
9. Is VasReversal an advertising service?
No, absolutely not. Our goal is to better educate prospective reversal patients prior to their choosing a surgeon. While we may feel certain aspects of vasectomy reversal are extremely important, sometimes our members are looking for one particular criteria. Some choose a surgeon by cost, location, surgical technique, professional association, anesthesia type and some, even by religious convictions. Over the years, we have recognized that the research process is often long and tedious. This tool gives our members much more initial information right at their fingertips as well as providing your practice with an inexpensive means of introducing yourself to many prospective patients. For years, we have done this on a volunteer basis at great cost to the owner and administrators of the site. By setting up this program, VasReversal will now have opportunity to cover its own costs and provide an extremely valuable service to prospective reversal patients at the same time.
10. When prospective patients order the Physician Profile package, how will they receive it?
Physician Profile packets may be ordered by prospective patients right at our website. A physician profile packet will be delivered to their address within 2-3 business days from date of processing. Your information will be physically in front of them along with all your contact and promotional information. Your business cards will be attached to your profile so that they will have easy access to your office as well. In the near future, we hope to make the profiles available online with password accessibility.

12. How will VasReversal’s New Beginnings obtain my promotional DVD?
Please ship your DVD’s in slimline jewel cases or in cardboard CD sleeves to VasReversal. You may ship up to 100 at one time for VasReversal’s New Beginnings to store and then disperse upon request. DVD’s should be shipped to VasReversal’s New Beginnings, PO Box 267, Almont, MI 48003. At such time that we begin to run low on your particular DVD, we will contact your office to request more DVD’s. Your fees must be paid and current in order for your DVD to accompany your Physician Profile.
13. May I receive the contact information for people requesting my profile?
VasReversal’s New Beginnings will not provide member information or address lists to reversal surgeons at any time. This is a private issue for many couples searching out information on vasectomy reversal. We recommend that your contact information be printed on your DVD label and a business card enclosed in its case. Also, when returning your physician profile, please include a stack of business cards that we may attach to each profile. This should get your practice a great deal of exposure and patients an opportunity to contact you easily for additional information, consultations and appointments.
14. What if there is more than one surgeon in my practice?
Should you have more than one surgeon in your practice, they may participate in the program individually. Since each surgeon may do things slightly different, it will be important that each fill out their own Physician Profile Form. While the promotional DVD may be the same for your practice as a whole, the reversal surgeon’s profile is for individual surgeons, as not all surgeons within a practice are alike and their profiles may vary. The fee of $350 to provide the surgeon profile is for EACH surgeon in a practice. If an office has 3 surgeons, and all are submitting their profiles, three fees of $350 will apply. HOWEVER, if providing a promotional DVD covering the entire practice, the $100 fee will be charged only once.
15. When does the Physician Profile program begin?
Initial information packets are being sent to doctors currently. Doctors participating in the profile program will have their profiles made available on a first come/first serve basis. The profiles will begin being posted and made available on the VasReversal New Beginnings website as the profiles, contracts and fees arrive at the VasReversal New Beginnings office.
